Aeshia Upton - Ivory Triangle Chandeliers
Handcrafted by Aeshia Upton.
Aeshia Upton is from the village of Togiak, Alaska. She learned to love carving from her father and she’s been beading/sewing since the age of 7, taught to her by her mother.
Aeshia receives walrus tusks/ivory from the hunters of Togiak, as it is a traditional food they eat and use every part of, so it doesn’t go to waste.
Carving a particular item takes days to prepare before the final assembly. That includes cutting, sanding, and perfecting the shape in to a beautiful pair of earrings.
Color and shape of ivory may vary.
