Ekowah Coffee is an Osage owned and operated coffee roasting company committed to providing high quality specialty roasted coffee that everyone can enjoy.

Ekowah Coffee was founded with a Running Strong for American Indian Youth Dreamstarter Grant.

Ekowah means "friend" in Osage. At Ekowah Coffee, they operate by the principles of friendship: goodwill and respect to all they work with, to their natural resources, and to their community. With this in mind, a portion of all profits are returned to the community in support of non-profit programs that directly benefit Native Americans.

Joshua Smith is the owner of Ekowah Coffee LLC, a Native Owned, socially conscious coffee roaster focused on giving back with each bag of coffee sold. Joshua is a member of the Osage Nation, out of Northeastern Oklahoma. He is an avid learner with a strong belief in the power of education to change one's life. Joshua also has a great passion for entrepreneurship and the ways it can be used to make a positive impact in one's community.

Second Son is a classic Ethiopian: it boasts a delicate yet deep wine, chocolate, and jamberry bouqet with notes of nuts and lemon for a clear, refined finish. Ethiopian coffee is considered by many to be the best coffee in the world, and after trying Second Son, we think you’ll agree.

Second Son is an heirloom Arabica coffee bean, sourced from small farms surrounding Aramo, a village located in the highlands of Yirgcaheffe, within the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia. Grown at 2000+ meters above sea level, beans from this region are known for their lively and distinctive flavors.

Ekowah Coffee is proud to offer a portion of profits from each bag sold to Native non-profits and tribal programs close to our heart. They believe in sowing back into their community and know firsthand the incredible impact these organizations have when properly funded.
