Lisa is an ivory carver and jewelry designer from Anchorage, AK. She learned of her craft from her father who is also an ivory carver. The ivory is harvested by members of their community. Her ancestors used walrus ivory for everyday items ranging from combs to toys for children to hunting tools and sewing needles.
Lisa is honored and fortunate to be able able to carry the use of traditional and sacred materials as the people before her did. The resilience of her people's survival inspire her to create.
